Highpointers Foundation Silent Auction

A fundraising event to benefit the Highpointers Foundation

What:    Annapurna – Maurice Herzog

Herzog’s classic book about the first conquest of an 8,000 meter peak in 1950.

This is the most iconic narrative in mountaineering literature, and the first to become a bestseller. The French team discovered the approach to Annapurna and, with great difficulty and drama, made the first ascent. Annapurna was not climbed again until 1970.

The dust jacket is in Fair-Good shape. This is the US Edition - 3rd printing in 1953. The book was first published in 1952 in France, the UK, and the USA.
